Where do you start?
This product is technology at it's best, what a fantastic step forward for the simple light bulb.
We have installed two of these bulbs in our living room where both bulbs are switched by one 'common' switch on the wall, now with these easy bulbs we set them up so one is on one channel with the second on a second channel, this has now given us the flexibility to operate them independently, it's like a new lighting arrangement (very nice).
It's the flexibility in them we like, a bulb at one end of the room at one colour and dimmed, the other at another colour at a different lighting level, just so, so flexible.
Then with the technology built into the easy bulbs, they can be simply linked together to operate as a matched pair, both operating as one again a very nice feature.
When the bulbs are used independently they can be different colours, again just sets the room ambience and has completely changed our living room.
With the bulbs we purchased being 9w LED technology, when in full 'bright' warm white mode, the room is well lit and we have no issues with the brightness, they operate just like normal light bulbs.
The memory function built into the bulbs is a nice feature as the bulbs will switch back on to the lighting levels they were last used at, gives you a nice starting point.
We are still getting to grips with the 'automatic' functions built into the bulbs, struggling to find details of what is built into these functions, but trial and error will prevail and we will eventually work it all out.
The remote control unit we purchased is a very nice size it feels robust and should provide many years of service, it's constructed with membrane technology (smooth surface buttons) which means it can be easily cleaned and it looks good on the side.
Linking the bulbs (once worked out, had to look on the internet) took only a few seconds, to ensure they were on different channels we used a table lamp to set them up, then relocated them to the living room, not too onerous a task at all.
The bulbs have sparked off some good conversations with visitors and are a talking point for sure when people see them for the first time.
We are using these bulbs with the remote control, we have not linked them to the 'smart phone' so cannot comment on this, but if it is anything like the functionality we are seeing with the remote control, then it can only be good.
In summary a very nice example of modern technology for the humble light bulb.
